The engine does not rev up when changing to higher gears (2,3,4,5,6) and only rev up when change to lower gears on high speed. I was thinking about the slipping clutch as well, but the car wants to move forward when handbrake is on and in gears. Would you say is a bad gear oil or fuel / fuel injector problem?
110K views 4 years ago. There are a couple of things that you can do to improve the lifespan of your M32 gearbox transmission. The key thing is replacing the transmission oil regularly. No service Whether it might be beneficial to change the oil is another matter, but you will probably only get the official "filled for life" response from a dealer. Check the gearbox oil level every 48,000 km. Check the clutch fluid level and condition every 48,000 km. I believe the third line should state "Change the fluid in the clutch hydraulicdumbledore. Oil leak is possibly the easiest, look for the highest point of the leak. If you can't find it, clean everything and look at it regularly until the source is apparent. The leak apears to be coming from the top of gearbox and covers the whole of the top. I can only assume it comes from the selector cover that I had to remove because

Make sure you use the right spec though, many cars use a gl4 spec oil but a lot of multipurpose gear oils are gl5 which can be too slippery for the syncros to work properly. And as ever when changing gear oiul make sure youhi all been along time havent had any problems accept with me oil dark brown time for an oil change :) on sunday. but i hear rattleing under my gear stick
