C3, well we have a car which doesn't work due to the Eco Mode, which is supposed to save power, won't let the car start. Then a couple of days later it starts and runs fine, then it happens again. We have asked Citroen to turn this feature off in the ECU, which we know on good authority can be done, but they keep saying they can't, and we need
Remove + battery lead using the quick release clip. Wait a few secs. Put + battery lead back on. Go inside car and its still stuck in eco mode according to radio display. Look just the the left of the steering column,on my C3 there are two buttons I never use, Central locking and a presettable Speed limiter alarm. The car DID misbehave during a dealer test-drive. Citroen UK now acknowledge that there is a major problem, caused by the Stop & Start System ( Eco Mode) malfunctioning on all cars that have it. As far as I can see, only the diesel-engined cars have the Start & Stop System. Changed ignition coil , temp sensor, speed sensor, injector loom, injectors, but still the car won't start. Tried to start with quick start it just idled for a few seconds then went dead again. All wiring has been checked. After idling for a few seconds it came out of eco mode. But still won't start. Replacing battery may help solve stop/start issues as over time the capacity fades.WATCH THIS VIDEO BEFORE CHANGING THE BATTERY TO TEST YOUR BATTERY: https:/ VhDiO.
